About CBT
CBT is a type of talking therapy that focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and behaviour, and helps you develop more helpful ways of thinking, behaving and helps you to cope with and address life problems. It combines cognitive therapy (working on the way you think) and behaviour therapy (examining and changing the things you do) and is a highly effective and evidence based approach to achieving lasting improvements in a wide range of common psychological and emotional difficulties.
Free telephone consultation:
Once you make contact, I will call you as soon as possible for a brief (10-15 min) chat, during which I will check out with you what you would like to work on and to introduce myself and arrange our first appointment.
What will happen during the first session?
You may be anxious when you attend for your first session and this is entirely natural and understandable. During the initial meeting a detailed assessment will be made of the problems you want to work on. At the end of our first appointment it should be clear as to the best way forward. If it seems that I can help then we can discuss whether you would like to proceed with treatment and agree a series of objectives for your therapy.
Fees for 50 minute sessions:
